    My dad was a big fan of Jersey Joe's, and since he passed away I come here sometimes to have his favorite cheesesteak. They recently remodeled and it looks great! The staff members are also much friendlier now and I love the sign they have that reminds people to be nice. The wait usually isn't too long and there is plenty of parking. The cheesesteaks are good! I haven't been to Philadelphia so I can't speak to how authentic they are, but they are yummy!

    My spouse is always looking for a Philly cheesesteak place and it's slim pickins in the east bay. Enter Jersey Joes on the peninsula! Was heading down home from work and found this place on Yelp. It's legitimate. There are glass windows looking into the kitchen, and the cook is measuring out the freshest thinnest strips of beef. Next to him is the person at the grill doing her thang. If that's not fresh for you then I don't know what is. They have a huge expansive menu (that rotates so don't feel crazy if you thought you saw one thing and now it says another). If cheesesteak is not your thing they also have a selection of salads! And did i mention they also have alcohol? Am I in heaven?! Came here at lunch time around noon and not crowded at all. Solid sandwich place that I'll add to our rotation.

    After many years away from the Peninsula, I finally revisited my favorite cheesesteak spot, and it did not disappoint. I ordered a Jersey Joe's Cheesesteak, which features American cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, and both sweet and hot peppers. The sandwich was excellent--full of flavor and very satisfying. The service was prompt, and the space, which appeared to have been remodeled, was clean and comfortable. It's still my top choice for a Philly cheesesteak.
